-Approx. a yr. into the run of "$100,000 Fortune Hunt", announcer Bill Barber stopped describing any car as a sedan (at this time, it was the only Decision prize on the board; later, you had to find both halves of the car) & players were guaranteed $1.5K (orig., non-winners had to decide whether to keep their current cash winnings or select a number from the Bonus board; top prize was $10K).
-The same time's up buzzer from "Trivial Pursuit" w/ Wink is used on "The CNN Quiz Show" for wrong answers in the 2nd & final rds.
-"King of the Nerds" is no more in the U.S. as of last Fri.
-The only cash PG that hasn't been played on the Back to School shows is Grand Game. And I don't think they're going to rename PtR anymore.
-I never realized until yesterday since they started doing the audience giveaways several yrs. back that only the players who didn't make it on stage would receive the special prizes. Again, you learn something new almost every day.
-P!nk wrote a new theme song for "ellen" titled "Today's the Day". The show will be going on the road for the first time in a while & air from NYC Thurs. & Fri.
-Rossi's the new "Halloween Wars" host & Richard Blais will host the "Halloween Baking Championship" (the top prize on the latter show's $25K).
-"access hollywood" is celebrating its 20th season this yr.
-On the "Family Feud Challenge" pilot (#3), Bullseye was played differently (when the board came down, the Star Wheel sound from the '90s "Match Game" would be heard). In the qualifying game, each family was spotted $2K & one teammate would answer a Q. The Bullseye was worth $1K, the #2 answer was worth $500 & the #3 answer was worth $250 (by that time in the pilots, however, the secondary payoffs weren't used). After a family has answered their five Bullseye Q's, the other family would get their opportunity to do so. In the championship game, their banks would also act as their maingame score ($10 a pt.- I always wish today's "Feud" would use that format, but w/ a $3K goal & only the champs would keep their money) & you didn't need to reach a certain goal to win. After the Triple rd., Bullseye was played for $3K a Q & the clan w/ the highest bank would play for it in FM.
-Pilot #1 of "On a Roll" (that theme was also used on "Star Words") was aired on Buzzr instead of #3.
-"TKO" used a different version of the Pathfinder buzzer & the "Illinois Instant Riches/Bonus Bonanza" theme.
-My home finally bought some of that Kodiak Cakes baking mix last wk.
-On 10/1, "Donut Showdown" becomes "Sugar Showdown"& Josh Elkin's the new host.
-There's no in-studio announcer for the new "LATE SHOW".
